WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) today released the following statement regarding President Biden’s executive order on immigration:
“President Biden has had the power since Day 1 in office to take executive action to stem illegal immigration. Instead, he used that authority to stop construction of the border wall and loosen immigration enforcement measures, immediately dismantling Trump-era policies that helped preserve America’s safety and sovereignty.
“After three and a half years, and more than nine and a half million illegal border crossings, President Biden is making a politically-timed decision on immigration that is too little, too late. Nobody should be fooled by today’s phony move. Biden will go down in history as the Open Border President.”
