Grassley Comments on Sen. Kerry's Retirement from the Senate
Sen. Grassley issued the following statement regarding the announcement made today by Sen. Kerrey. They serve together on the Finance and Agriculture committees. Sen. Grassley was an active member of the IRS Restructuring Commission co-chaired by Sen. Kerrey.
"Bob Kerrey's willingness to tell it like it is will be missed in the Senate. He provided courageous, common sense leadership for farmers and taxpayers. I especially appreciated his commitment to agriculture, the backbone of our Midwestern economy. I'm sorry to see him leave public life."
