WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that he will finish his annual visit to every Iowa county on August 25. This year he’ll complete his tour by holding town hall meetings in Black Hawk, Buchanan, Chickasaw and Howard counties.
Grassley said these meetings are an important part of how he keeps in touch as he represents Iowa. He has held a meeting in every Iowa county, every year that he’s served in the United States Senate. These four meetings will complete Grassley’s annual 99 county tour.
“These meetings help generate an exchange of ideas that are necessary for representative government,” Grassley said. “Holding a meeting in each of our 99 counties gives me the opportunity to have an open and honest dialogue with Iowans. I’ve always found that the best way to work on behalf of Iowans is to maintain a conversation, not only through these face-to-face meetings, but also through email, postal mail and telephone calls.”
The town hall meetings will be held in Cresco, Hudson, Independence, and New Hampton.
