Grassley: Waterloo Student Selected for Admission to West Point
WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley said today that Andrew Robert Foster of Waterloo has been selected for admission to the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York, for the 2012-2013 school year.
Foster graduated from West High School in Waterloo in May 2011. Since then, he has been a Navy ROTC student at Ohio State University.
“Admission to the service academies is highly competitive and a great honor,” Grassley said. “Students like Andrew Foster work very hard to earn this kind of opportunity, and I join many others, no doubt, in wishing him well and expressing appreciation for his commitment to serving our nation.”
For more than 200 years, the U.S. service academies have educated and trained the best and the brightest to lead and command the U.S. armed forces.
Frost is the son of Patricia and Craig Foster of Waterloo.
