Senator Grassley will meet with Iowans in Washington, D.C., from NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association, the National Sleep Foundation, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Iowa Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services, the Marshalltown Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Iowa Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, the Biotechnology Industry Organization, the Iowa Motor Truck Association, the Institute of Real Estate Management, the Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals, the National Council of Investigation and Security Services, the American Association for Dental Research, the Academy of General Dentistry, The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, and the Military Officers Association of America.
Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa students from MOC-Floyd Valley High School, the University of Iowa Student Government, the University of Iowa Graduate College, Regina High School in Iowa City, and delegates to the National 4-H Convention: Raeann Hanlon of Calhoun County, Paul Elliot of Linn County, Renae Drey of Sac County, and Tyler Pickhinke of Sac County.

On Tuesday, April 8, at 9:45 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in an Agriculture Committee business meeting. The committee may consider the nominations of Timothy G. Massad of Connecticut to be Chairman and a Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Sharon Y. Bowen of New York to be a Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and J. Christopher Giancarlo of New Jersey to be a Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The committee may also consider S. 1294, the Tennessee Wilderness Act.
