Here is information about Senator Grassley’s schedule this week.  The Senate is in session.  

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowans in Washington, D.C., from Unite to Face Addiction, the Iowa Nature Conservancy, Mid-Sioux Opportunity, the American Wind Energy Association, the Iowa Board of Medicine, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, and Central Decatur Schools. 

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa families from Mt. Vernon, Burlington, Sioux City and Clinton.

On Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will speak at an Angels in Adoption reception.  Angels in Adoption is a program hosted by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute that honors those who have made “extraordinary contributions on behalf of children in need of families.”  Senator Grassley is a member of the Advisory Council of the Congressional Coalition of Adoption Institute and the founder and co-chair of the Senate Caucus on Foster Youth.  

On Thursday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will preside over the weekly executive business meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  The committee may consider S. 1814, the Stop Sanctuary Cities Act, sponsored by Senators David Vitter and Jeff Flake.

On Thursday, Oct. 8, at 2:30 p.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will speak at the inaugural Congressional Trademark Caucus event, “Trademarks 101.” Senator Grassley helped to relaunch the Congressional Trademark Caucus this year in an effort to support the vital role trademarks play in the U.S. economy and is a co-chair of the caucus.
