More Than $1 Million to Iowa from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded three competitive grants totaling $1,423,626 to Iowa.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will distribute the money as shown below.

• Iowa Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health in Anamosa will receive $70,000 for its statewide network, from the Center for Mental Health Services

• The University of Iowa in Iowa City will receive $415,969 to determine if high-risk statin utilization rates should be increased for complex acute myocardial infarction patients, from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality
