WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded two grants totaling $3,693,105 to Iowa to help fund Head Start projects.
"These funds will help kids participating in Head Start in these communities get on the education fast track," Grassley said. "Addressing Iowa's youngest students' developmental needs early will help Iowa continue to provide an education that will benefit our state for years to come."
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will distribute the funds as described below.
Tri-County Child and Family Development Council in Waterloo will receive $1,386,742.
