$135,438 to Iowa State University from the National Science Foundation

WASHINGTON – Chuck Grassley today said that Iowa State University has received a $135,438 competitive grant from the National Science Foundation.

Iowa State will use the money to help pay for a project titled, “HOpf Algebras, Frobenius-Schur Indicators and Modular Categories.”

Each year, thousands of local Iowa organizations, colleges and universities, individuals and state agencies apply for competitive grants and loans from the federal government.  The funding is then awarded based on each local organization or individual’s ability to meet criteria set by the federal entity.
