$340,000 to the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault

WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Violence Against Women has awarded a $340,000 grant to the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault in Des Moines through the Office of Violence Against Women Technical Assistance Program.

The Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault will use the funds for its National Resource Sharing Project to help end sexual violence and increase services available to sexual violence survivors by developing tools and providing technical assistance and training.

"These funds will help the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault effectively respond to and help victims of domestic, dating and sexual assault," Grassley said.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the Office of Violence Against Women Technical Assistance Program helps provide expertise and support needed to develop and implement successful state, local, tribal and campus projects; increase victim safety; and increase offender accountability.
