WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded two competitive grants totaling $642,888 to the University of Iowa.
The University of Iowa will receive the grant funds as described below.
· $371,938 from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to help pay for a project titled, "Apoptotic Cells Induce Tolerance Through TRAIL-Expressing CD8+ Regulatory T Cells."
· $270,950 from the National Cancer Institute to help pay for a project titled, "Dosimetry Guided Phase II of 90Y-DOTA-tyr3-Octreotide + Retinoic Acid in Kids."
