RE:      FEMA Public Assistance Program Funding Increased

Senator Grassley had the following comment after FEMA's Public Assistance Program was increased yesterday to 100 percent Federal funding for the period of May 25 to August 13, 2008 in which Iowa was impacted by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding.

"I'm very pleased to see this increase in FEMA assistance for some of the disaster period. A year after the disasters there is still a lot to do. I'll continue to work with FEMA as the recovery process continues."
