Grassley: $73,690 to Iowa from U.S. Department of Education

WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that $73,690 in funds have been released from the U.S. Department of Education for the Iowa State Education Association for an international trade education project. The funds were secured by Grassley in the fiscal 2008 appropriations bill.

“These funds will help provide students with opportunities to learn about the political, social and economic factors that influence international trade,” Grassley said.

The Iowa State Education Association will use the funds to promote appropriate educational experiences so that students can better understand the purpose of their learning about issues surrounding international trade policy and globalization.
