Over $300,000 to ISU

WASHINGTON - Senator Chuck Grassley today said that Iowa State University has received a $370,845 competitive grant from the National Science Foundation.

Iowa State University will use the money for research and education in microscale sensing, actuation and imaging through the REU Site Project.

Each year, thousands of local Iowa organizations, colleges and universities, individuals and state agencies apply for competitive grants and loans from the federal government. The funding is then awarded based on each local organization or individual’s ability to meet criteria set by the federal entity.
