WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the Corporation for National and Community Service has awarded a $156,657 formula grant to the Iowa Department of Education through the Learn and Serve America School-Based Formula Grant program.
"The funds will help young kids learn while giving back to their communities," Grassley said.
The Learn and Serve America School-Based Formula Grant program involves young people between the ages of 5 and 17 in service-learning projects that support student development and meet community needs.
