$193,885 to Iowa State University from the National Science Foundation

WASHINGTON - Senator Chuck Grassley today said that Iowa State University has received a $193,885 competitive grant from the National Science Foundation.

Iowa State University will use the money to help replace the console for a 20-Year Old 400 MHz Open Access NMR Spectrometer.

Each year, thousands of local Iowa organizations, colleges and universities, individuals and state agencies apply for competitive grants and loans from the federal government.  The funding is then awarded based on each local organization or individual’s ability to meet criteria set by the federal entity.
