WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs has released $650,000 to Iowa State University in Ames. The funds were secured through the regular appropriations process.
"These funds will help Iowa State University enhance their world class research and education facility that focuses on preventing cyber crime," Grassley said.
Iowa State University will use the money to enhance the capabilities of the Information Assurance Center to detect, prevent, and provide forensics analysis of cyber crime by creating an Internet-Scale event and Attack Generation Environment.
