WASHINGTON - Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that Iowa State University has received a grant of $1,983,266 from the National Science Foundation.
“Iowa State University has a long history of conducting valuable research,” Grassley said. “These funds will allow them to continue that tradition.”
The funds will be used to help pay for a project titled “EFRI-RESIN: 21st Century National Energy and Transportation Infrastructures: Balancing Sustainability, Costs, and Resiliency (NETSCORE-21)." This research is to formulate a national system that integrates energy and transportation infrastructures while accounting for the interdependencies between them, new energy supply technologies, sustainability and resiliency.
